I know this is literally THE laziest form of blogging but this is literally all I have to show for myself right now.  I have been taking it really easy other than keeping up with my voice lessons.  Mostly I've been just swimming, eating (coconut paletas, preferably), and loving on my cats.

OOTD: Short and Ditsy

 

I wore this thrifted dress the other day to hit up happy hour at Pita Jungle and it was so comfortable.  I've always just worn it as a tunic with skinny jeans but I threw it on with some cute denim shorts underneath so I wouldn't flash anyone.  It's such an easy solution if it's too hot for jeans, but you're not super comfortable in a short dress Another idea is a pair of cute bike shorts with a lace trim (which is great if you're an actual cyclist too).

Phoenix Local Style

I spotted this gal slingin' coffee at Citizen Espresso Bar and just had to take her picture. 

KARAOKE!

On Thursday I went with some coworkers, and one beloved former coworker to sing some karaoke. You never know what to expect at this bar, but it seems I always make at least one new friend and usually there is a point in the night where everyone sings along like a bunch of drunken sailors to some sort of power ballad. There is always some sort of pronouncement of "this is going to be our new thing! Let's do this every week!" I started out with a bang, singing The Darkness' 'I Believe in a Thing Called Love', which I had planned out all week. Then later I sang "Blinded by the Light", realizing midsong that it has a super long musical break, so I did some improvisational riffs to pass the time. Everyone was pretty dazzled, I'm sure. Miss Courtney was super profesh, as always. She's truly a jack of all trades. Brittany, pictured below, has the best stage presence I've ever seen. She even got so into a song that she accidentally kicked her shoe off and hit the ceiling.
