Bits of my summer

We are slowly but surely settling into the new digs. It's a work in progress, but a much more enjoyable work in progress than our old apartment, which never seemed to feel like home. I'm loving the new location, and I have a new-found love of cooking with my new kitchen.

Mortimer is loving the new place too, with the exception of a traumatizing confrontation with the neighbors dog that landed him at the emergency vet. A few weeks and one extracted canine tooth later, he's doing fine.
Since I've been going for weeks without internet at the house (this explains my lack of update), I've found ways to occupy myself, one of them being a motion picture project starring Mortimer.

I love getting my hands dirty and trying my hand at gardening. It's mostly unsuccessful because the Phoenix heat is a plant killer, but I'm confident it will get better when fall comes around.
